Non-Surgical Face Lift
By Marsha Gellerman of Non Surgical Facts
If you know that you're ready to improve the way you look, but you're not quite sure you're ready for a full face lift, you might want to think about a non-surgical face lift. Non-surgical face lifts can be an excellent way of getting a more youthful and alluring physical appearance without the need to go through the problems and cost of surgery. Non-surgical face lifts might be an excellent decision for a variety of women AND men. There are a number of methods for you to think about. When you are just starting to find the signs of aging appearing on your face, then you might want to start thinking about the non-surgical solutions that are available to you. Regardless of whether you are interested in pursuing cosmetic surgery later on in your life, you may want to try the non-surgical options first. Some non-surgical methods can produce startling results, sometimes better than surgery. Especially on the face of someone in their forties of fifties. They can be a better option for anyone whose skin is just starting to show some of the signs of aging. However, non-surgical face lifts can also show excellent results on older skin that has experienced more wrinkling, sagging and damage in general. It is worthwhile considering the non-invasive therapies that are available to make your face look younger and more radiant. Diverse possibilities are offered for anyone who may have decided that a non-surgical lift is the method they'd prefer to use. Thermage utilizes radio waves to vibrate the skin cells. It works by breaking the walls of fat cells. A side effect of this is inducing your skin to repair itself and generate new collagen cells, which keeps your skin firm and toned. Microcurrent treatments use electricity to encourage the creation of collagen, one of two key molecules for keeping your skin firmly attached to its supporting muscles. This promotes smoothness and toning of the dermis. It can also encourage improved blood flow and increased muscle firmness, so it truly is perfect for working with loose and sagging skin. A large number of facial rejuvenation procedures, which are classified as non-surgical face lifts, really use a needle to insert materials into the skin or muscle tissues. Botox shots might help to get rid of lines and wrinkles by paralyzing the underlying muscle tissue. Botox stops additional wrinkling by preventing muscle activity. Collagen injections may be given to reinforce the connective tissue, which makes the skin toned and young looking. Microdermabrasion, in conjunction with chemical peels, gets rid of dead skin cells, uncovering the softer and more youthful looking skin beneath these layers. While these procedures may result in soreness and irritation for people with sensitive skin, both methods are usually harmless. They are most effective on newly formed lines as opposed to deep wrinkles. The lowest priced and least invasive solutions for handling the signs of aging are wrinkle creams. These can assist to keep the skin plump and moist, and some of these creams may even be able to induce your skin to produce collagen. Many people turn to various non-surgical methods in order to combat the signs of aging. Non surgical face lifts can be a good choice for you, but they can be particularly useful for anyone who cannot afford a surgical face lift or who is nervous about going through invasive treatments. |

Not knowing much about this subject of facial rejuvenation, I must admit that I am impressed by the information provided.

Thanks Tozcal2008 - I became interested in this because I had surgery to remove a benign cyst - but because it was on my face, I had to deal with a plastic surgeon. I will be an old and wrinkly woman because I'm never going through that kind of pain again.
Does that mean that the plastic surgeon did a bad job?

The plastic surgeon was WONDERFUL. He took a golf ball sized growth from next to my left eye, made sure that the eye and brow looked perfect and matched my right eye, sewing together muscles and tissues. (The growth was like an iceberg, it looked tiny on my face, but was huge under the surface.) I had the smallest scar you could possibly imagine, which he said he could freeze off. He gave me easy to follow instructions to make sure scar tissue did not have the chance to stiffen. While he was at it, he also excised two small chunks of regular tissue from my forehead for cancer biopsies. I had stitches everywhere but the surface of my skin, which he super-glued together. My face looked great. However ... I was in pain for over six months as everything healed. They forget to tell you that it will take at least that long for everything to heal. From shooting pains to dull persistent aches. And this was from an operation that went perfectly. Now, when you consider that during a face lift, this kind of muscle/tissue stretching, pulling and stitching is going on around your eyes, forehead, ears, jaw line, etc., I can't imagine going thought this voluntarily. You can't really compare this to any other kind of surgery because "reconstructive" surgery is different than simply getting something like your appendix removed. When they remove your appendix, they don't worry about fixing your body up, as though the appendix was never there. Hence, non surgical face lift methods.

This is like with everything else. You must have experienced what you talk about. Not even the surgeon could say what it is like, unless they were doing similar cosmetic operations on him. Wow...
